October Favorites

Well hello there ladies!
It's scary to read October favorites as a title when October seems like it happened ages ago. It's embarrassing that I am posting this late, but with school work and 2 shows that I'm in the middle of, I've barely even had time to sleep! But since we have a few days off for the holiday I figured it would be better to post this really late rather than not at all. So on with the October favorites!

This month was a very special month for me because it was my birthday! I had a party with some of my closest friends and family and it was by far the most amazing day of my entire life. And all of your favorite sparkly little secret members were right there along side me too! I seriously have some of the most amazing friends, they made me feel so beautiful and happy on that night and having them there really made me realize how awesome of a life I have. And the gifts these people got me were absolutely INSANE. They were way too generous and amazing, especially ones from the SLS crew. You guys spoiled me that's for sure! A lot of the gifts I received I have been using non stop this month so they will definitely be included in my favorites post.

Makeup:

I went a little makeup crazy during the past month you guys. I got a lot of makeup as gifts, but also had a little too much fun online at Sephora and spent a way too much money. But all of these things have been on my list for a while now I promise it wasn't one giant 'in the moment' splurge.

One thing I have really been loving lately is lipstick. I can't seem to get enough. My new favorites for this month have been Nars Beautiful Liar, YSL Volupté sheer candy in number 4, Mac's Lustre lipstick in Viva Glam 5 and my favorite of them all, Kate Spade's Supercalifragilipsitck in the color Pop Art Pink, which was a gift from Audrey.(pictured above, swatched on the right in the same order). All of these colors are very unique, and very wearable. The YSL and the Kate Spade lipsticks are more vibrant and are great if you want to add a pop of color to your look. The other two are great for everyday wear, and I can't wait to get more use out of them all as the year progresses!

My next 2 favorites are something that I have been using constantly for the past 3 months. That is the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer and the secret concealer. I swear to you the secret concealer is my new holy grail concealer. It completely covers my dark circles under my eyes and any correction spots I need to hide on my face. And the tinted moisturizer has just the right amount of color and weight to it. It gives the color payoff of a foundation while still being light and easily applicable. I wear this everyday and I already need to get a new concealer! I go through it so quickly. I recommend these 2 face products to EVERYONE because it really makes my face look more flawless then it actually is...and who doesn't want to look flawless? ;)

For eyes I have been loving the Nars soft touch shadow pencil in Goddess and the Mac fabulousness holiday palette. The Nars pencil was part of my gift that Francesca gave me for my birthday! She knows me so well <3 I love using the shadow pencil as a base for the colors in the mac palette.

First of all...how exciting is it that for Mac's holiday collection they created numerous beautiful palettes? I started freaking out. The colors in this specific palette are absolutely BEAUTIFUL and they make my eyes look really blue! From left to right the colors are called blonde mink, magical mist, burn, enviable, and smut. Blonde Mink, Magical Mist, and Enviable are all shimmery and I am absolutely in love with this palette. Its a limited edition holiday palette so grab it while you still can!

My favorite scent this month has been the Prada Candy perfume. It literally smells like heaven and I have already used so much of it. I may be asking for another one for Christmas. It's my go to scent for any season (I have been looking at the perfume for a while) and I feel like it isn't too heavy to wear in the summer or too light for the winter. It's a little on the pricey side, but well worth the cost because both the scent and the bottle are beautiful!

These BCBG bracelets have been all the rage in my town and I can't seem to get enough of them! They're so fun to layer and the inspirational words on them just make me smile <3 They range anywhere from $12-$18 so they're fun and affordable and a great way to add a little color to your outfit.

Another favorite I have been having this month are these gorgeous Steve madden flats. I know they aren't everybody's cup of tea, but I think they're a fun, BRIGHT (to say the least) pop of color to add to any outfit. Wow I have been saying that so much in this post....I really like adding pops of color to outfits because in the fall not many people are wearing bright neon shirts or dresses its more natural colors with subtle hints of color here and there. That's why I love fall, because it allows you to experiment with different pops of color. These shoes will honestly match anything you decide to wear because...well...it has every color in the rainbow in it!

Non-beauty favorites:

Tangled has been my favorite movie since it came out and I constantly watch it whenever I'm sick or feeling down. I know it's silly that I love a little kids movie, but any Disney movie is automatically a classic....and I love Rapunzel because her songs are just amazing. This movie makes me cry every time I watch it!

Another thing that I had constantly been reaching for in October was the Special K chocolate pretzel bars. They taste AMAZING and the little pretzel bites made it taste like you were actually eating chocolate covered pretzels (which are my personally favorite). And for 90 calories a bar, you can afford eating more then one a day ;) I know that's what I did!

I hope you all enjoyed my october favorites and again I apologize for me not posting in such a long time. My fall play at my school is happening next week and after that I'll be doing CAMP ROCK the musical in a nearby town theater. Once those shows end I will have MUCH more time to post more secrets for you all. In fact, stay tuned later this week for some great holiday gifts to give your friends or stocking stuffers for your family! Thanks for reading and I will talk to you all soon!

xoxo~

What's in my School Makeup Bag

Hi Ladies! Long time, no post!

So today I thought I would show you all what necessities I keep in my makeup bag for school. In my town specifically, the weather seems to change daily during the fall season. One day you're in shorts and a tank top sweating profusely and the next day you're in a sweater wishing you were curled up in a ball in bed. Our school is also very awkwardly heated so some rooms are much hotter then others. Keeping makeup easily accessible in my backpack gives the the opportunity to do little touch ups throughout the day to make sure I'm looking and feeling my best.

The first thing I have is a mini bottle of lotion. I always make sure I have lotion with me because I get dry spots on my face and specifically around my nose that get really flakey in the fall, so when I get the chance to put a little lotion on it to sooth it i do. I sometimes get the chance when Im changing for gym :)

The next thing I like to keep with me at all times is at least one concealer and a powder. When it's hot in school, I sometimes get a little sweaty or shiny and my makeup starts to fall apart by the end of the day. If I notice that I have a blemish that popped up or I'm starting to look a little shiny I can fix that real quick and not feel self conscious.

For lips I always have a few chapsticks and lip glosses that are thrown around in my bag because you never know when you're gonna need them. ;) Lip products are my favorite! Also if I plan on wearing a certain lipstick that morning I would throw it in my makeup bag to do touch ups as I see needed.

Another thing that I ALWAYS have in my bag is a mini mascara. Mascara is one thing that I cannot live without, I wear it everyday and I think its a good thing to keep in your bag in case you are going out after school and need a little extra something to look more put together. My favorite is the Benefit They're Real Mascara. It's amazing! I think even one extra coat of mascara can make any girls eyes POP!

Other things that I like keep in my makeup bag for school is a mirror *for obvious reasons :)*, oil absorbing sheets, tissues, a nail file and hair ties. This makeup bag also kind of works as a mini emergency kit as I just tend to throw anything I think I might need into it. I like to be prepared for the worst. :)

I hope you guys enjoyed this little show and tell and let me know in the comments below what kind of things you guys like to keep in YOUR makeup bags for school. :) Have a great day!

Selena Gomez Inspired Makeup Tutorial!

Good evening ladies!

As you can tell from the title above I am going to be doing a makeup tutorial today! YAY! This look is from a while back, but Selena looked absolutely gorgeous that night and I love the colors, so I thought it would be a fun idea to show you all a spin off of her look. She wore this beautiful, jewel toned purple dress that made her lilac smoke eye pop against the rest of her outfit.

Here's what you'll need:
Eyes
-Some sort of primer. I used both Too faced Shadow Insurance and the NYX jumbo eye pencil in milk. Having 2 layers of primers insures that the color will stay on all day, PLUS the NYX pencil is a shiny white, which applied underneath your color, makes the shadow appear more vibrant.
-Next I applied a light lilac color (Too Faced's Cut the Cake) across my whole lid and underneath my lower lash line. I used Sigma's E55 brush which packed on the color nicely since the lilac was a little sheer. also I took the gold from a Maybelline quad in plum smokes and blended that into the lilac to give it a little bit of shimmer.
-After that just to give a little bit of dimension to the look I took a little bit of the Party girl shadow to my crease to give a little bit of a smokey effect. I also blended the violet from my lower lash line into the party girl color in my crease.
-Lastly I applied a thin line of black liner to both my upper and lower lash lines and a few coats of my go to mascara and voila!

The eye portion of the tutorial is already done! The finished product should look something like this:

and now...ONTO THE REST OF THE FACE!

Face:
-The first step would be to do your everyday face routine. Your foundation/bb creme, concealer, pressed powder whatever you are most comfortable with.
-Apply a sheer pink to the apples of your cheeks. I used Nars's Mata Hari and MAC's soft and gentle highlighter as a sublet highlight.
-Feel free to contour a little bit as well if you feel necessary, but in this look contouring isn't necessary.

Lips:
-Selena paired her very intense eye with a natural lip which is nice because they balance each other out very well. I liked the pink-y nude look Selena had on that night, it seemed perfect to be worn as an everyday lip too. I used Laura Mercier's lipstick in Pink Label with a sheer layer of Hue by MAC on top.
-Top it all off with a sheer pink gloss and you are ready to go for the evening!

Here is the finished product of the lips. It's really subtle, but looks nice paired with the intense smoke eye.

And there you have it! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and let me know if there are any other celebrity makeup ideas you would like for me to try in the comments below! Thanks ladies love you all, talk to you next time!

Kristin :)

Summer Haulin' Had Me a Blast!

Hi (again) Ladies,
I just couldn't wait to do another post for you all, so I thought I would share with you some items that I have accumulated over the course of this summer. These are just a few of my favorite things that I have bought recently, and I figured I could share them with you!

I'll start out with the things I bought while I was down in Avalon at the beach with my family. I didn't end up buying that much, and surprisingly all the things I bought were jewelry, but I am seriously in love with EVERYTHING I found. It's always a tradition in my family to save up a good chunk of money to spend at the local stores at the beach. I always love buying jewelry because a lot of the stuff they have down there I don't have where I live and I love adding new unique pieces of jewelry to my collection that I know no one else will have. So in one of the stores I found a bunch of rings that were 75% off so I kind of went crazy. The rings were normally priced at between $20 and $40 (the ones that I liked at least which isn't too bad, but with the 75% off the most expensive ring I paid for was $9. NINE. DOLLARS. So of course I went ring crazy. (As you have seen in my ring collection post I have quite an obsession.) I ended up buying 5 rings, 1 of them being a gift for my friend and the rest for myself. (I spoiled myself a lot this vacation! :/) All of the rings are sterling silver and I love how the last 3 have words on them. The first ring is kind of a spin off of a celtic cross and then from left to right the rings say: avalon (where we stayed) friends, and hug. Aren't they cute?! I also think I got lucky because they were on sale because no one wanted to buy them because they were so small. I have a size 5-6 ring and they had tons of rings left in that size! I was in ring heaven! The total was I think around $37 for all 4 rings and the avalon ring alone was originally $36 so I basically got 3 rings free! WHAT A STEAL.
The last 2 jewelry items I got were from this adorable little store in avalon called the Preppy Palm. They had the most ADORABLE clothes and accessories and I would have bought the whole store but it was on the more expensive side. :/ I ended up picking up only 2 things a simple pair of silver ball studs and then a sideways silver cross necklace which i am OBSESSED WITH. I have seen so many people wearing them and I was so happy when I was able to find one for myself. The necklace was $30 which is a good price considering for how much necklaces similar to that go to and the earrings were $15 so that was a good deal as well.
And finally a non-jewelry related item I picked up from the Preppy palm was just a simple elastic headband. I have a bunch of the creaseless hair ties by the same brand but I had never seen a head band so I just wanted to try it out. And of course i picked it up in pink because I am still in full Legally Blonde mode. ;)

A few more jewelry things before I move onto beauty! My Grandy gave me a gift for my performance in legally blonde and she got me a pair of kate spade butterfly earrings and a gold buckle bracelet from Michael Kors I had been eyeing. The pink bracelet that is also on my wrist in the picture below was actually handmade by the ever so lovely Audrey that she gave me when she came to see my show as well as a beauty item you'll see down below. I love these 3 pieces of jewelry I have barely taken them off! I love the little gold beads in the pink bracelet Audrey made. It totally looks like she bought it somewhere. She's the best!

And now onto beauty! The Benefit Lipgloss was the gift that I received from Audrey alongside the beautiful bracelet and is actually the most moisturizing lipgloss I have ever owned. It's so thin and easy to apply, and I love the color and how it smells. She knows me so well <3. Another gift I received from the show was from Francesca, which was the Mac lipstick in Hue, a color I had been looking to buy for the longest time. I love wearing that underneath the lipgloss actually! The pair go perfectly together. It was so nice of you girls to get me a little gift for my show and I am so happy you guys came! You're the best! The other 2 mac things were things I picked up to use for the show. Like I mentioned in my legally blonde makeup tutorial the Mac lipstick in Pink Nouveau was the perfect pink for Elle to wear and the highlighter in soft and gentle*which i forgot to add to my tutorial shoot!* was used just to give me some extra sparkle on stage which I will also be able to use for everyday as well. These 4 items are great staples to add to my collection and I know I am going to be using these constantly for the rest of the summer and even into the beginning of school!

And last but not least, I received this adorable makeup bag from another friend who came to my show. My friend actually got this at the Preppy Palm the week before! It may seem a bit creepy, but its actually a barbie brand makeup bag and my friend got it for me because she thought the girl on the front reminded her of me and Elle Woods. It's the perfect size to carry makeup on the go and I think it's also a great memory of the show!

So these are just a few things I have received over the past couple of weeks I hope you enjoyed and let me know in the comments below what your favorite item you've purchased recently was! :) Have an amazing day! love you all <3

Legally Blonde!

Hey Ladies!
I apologize for not posting in FOREVER, but I was in the middle of Legally Blonde which Audrey had mentioned in her ulta haul, and then I went away on vacation for a week. But I am back with tons of ideas and secrets for you all! So, still being in the Legally blonde spirit that I have been in all month long, I thought I would do a makeup tutorial for you all. This makeup is the actual look i used in the show playing Elle Woods! And for any of you theater-goers out there, you would know that you need to put much more makeup on for stage then in real life for the audience to be able to see it. So this look may appear a little heavy, but from the stage it looks very natural I promise! So without further ado lets begin!

The first step is your face which is just your daily face routine but just a thicker application of foundation so it reads from stage. After that apply any bright pink blush. (I used Nars Mata Hari and applied 3 sheer layers which ended up building onto my cheekbones effortlessly!) This bubblegum pink gives your cheeks that great pop of color, PLUS it's definitely a color that Elle would choose to wear herself.

Next is eyes. For this I did a pinky-brown smoke eye with a gold undertone. These colors don't have to be specific at all, I had a lot of fun playing around, trying to find a color combination that I liked but this part is really whatever you think looks good together. But just in case you were wondering I will say the colors I used. First as always I primed my eyes with benefit's stay don't stray primer. This always makes my shadows stay in place and look vibrant for hours on end. As a base color I used the color Satin Sheets from Too Faced. The light pink-champagne color gives a nice shimmer but is light enough that it doesn't distract from the color that is going to be put on top of it. Then I took my Too faced blush in La Vie en Rose and covered the outer half of my lid in that. After that I took a little bit of Snakebite from the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette and my Tarina Tarantino eyeshadow in candy cameo and blended that into my crease which gives a little hint of pink, but doesn't make you look like you have pink eye. From the stage it looks like a really subtle neutral-pink eye but you could also tone this down just a little and wear it out on the town for a fun pink smoke eye! (Again, it's weird how you have to wear so much makeup on stage just for it to appear normal...I know it seems like a lot in these pictures. But I promise you I didn't look like a drag queen during the show!)

Last is Lips, which is Elle's signature thing. She is always sporting a perfect pink pout. For the show I decided to do something vibrant. Something that even under the stage lights, people in the last row would be able to see. So I thought what other color to use than Macs Pink Nouveau, which is Nicki Minaj's favorite color...before she created her own. This bright magenta color complemented the rest of the makeup I had on and surprisingly didn't seem like too much! 2 Layers of this bad boy and you are set for the day! I love how this color looks against my fair complexion and it really was the perfect color for Elle Woods to be wearing.

This show was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever been a part of. This was my dream show, and to be able to play my dream part in front of hundreds of people is honestly such a dream come true. I couldn't have asked for a better weekend. Here is one of the pictures that were taken during the show! If you've seen the movie, Elle walks into a Harvard college party in a bunny costume and is very surprised when she sees no one else is dressed in costume. I hope you all enjoyed this makeup tutorial, and if you want to see other celebrity or movie inspired makeup tutorials throw a few names down in the comments below. Have a great day ladies!

Coralista Fashionista

Hi all!,
So today I figured I would continue with this little trend we have going on the blog this week and talk about Benefit Cosmetics boxed blushes. I am absolutely OBSESSED with them. I only have 2 (Georgia and Coralista) but as my makeup addiction grows, I hope to have all of them in my collection! (Coralista is my all-time favorite though, Georgia is such a sheer blush that it doesn't really show up on me). I love the color pigmentation of all of the different shades, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way all of the blushes smell. They each have a very different scent, each enjoyable in their own way. These blushes feel so silky smooth on my skin, I seriously cannot get enough.

First of all, I must thank Francesca because she was lovely enough to buy this for me for my birthday last year, and I have been using it CONSTANTLY ever since! The color of it looks great on my very fair skin, but it also looks nice on various other skin tones as well. It's a very versatile shade if I do say so myself. The packaging is BEYOND adorable, I love the burst of neon cheetah print behind the name. I also feel like the packaging of each blush represents the blush perfectly. Coralista has crazy packaging, and is a fun, bright coral blush. Dandelion has pretty, cute, simple packaging for its baby pink color. Benefit Cosmetics is really smart for doing that!

I'm not sure if my camera was able to pick up a swatch of the color very well...but here is a swatch of Coralista! It's very pigmented, but is very buildable when you apply thin layers. This picture isn't even doing it justice! I would go to a Sephora or Ulta nearest you to swatch for yourself to see how pigmented it is in real life. It's the PERFECT coral color.

Here is what the color looks like once you open up the top. This picture isn't the best quality, but can you see how gorgeous this color is? It feels so velvety smooth on your skin too! This isn't a very sparkly blush, but, when caught in the right light, you can see some gold duo chrome in there. I love wearing this especially in the summer because it gives me a little bit of a golden-y bronze affect (when paired with bronzer of course). I also love how the cheetah print covers the inside of the box too, I think that's so cute! The only annoying thing about this is how deeply set the blush is in the box. The blush comes with its own brush which is nice, and I actually love using it to apply my blush, but the packaging accommodates the brush too, which pushes the blush further down into the bottom of the box. It's a little annoying to get the product out sometimes, but it doesn't bother me too much.  These boxed blushes retail for $28, which can be found on the benefit website, as well as sephora or ulta. I think the price is a little ridiculous....but completely worth it. These blushes are going to last you a long time, and the color payoff is amazing. Plus, they're completely adorable and would look great in any one's collection...so why wouldn't you want one?

What's your favorite benefit product? TWEET US ABOUT IT HERE! And feel free to leave any blog requests in the comments below! Have an amazing day everyone <3

My Everyday Face Routine

Hi Everyone!,
Today's post is all about skincare. Skincare is something every teenage girl seems to fuss over (Including myself!). Having healthy skin is one of the greatest ways to feel confident and look beautiful inside AND out. Nobody likes having blemishes covering their face *I know I don't...* and as harsh as it sounds, no one really wants to look at blemishes either. I know they're uncontrollable, mother nature tends to pop out of nowhere and put dozens of zits all over your face and you're like 'why me?' but with the correct skincare routine, clean, beautiful skin is possible!

For me, I have very problematic skin. I do have acne, and I do get dry skin and blotchy skin throughout the year. I know you are probably thinking-oh dear lord this girl must be a monster-but I'm not I promise! But lately I've gotten into a specific routine that has made my skin remotely clearer then ever before! The sparkly secret is to wash your face more than 2 times a day. I wash my face right when I get up, when I'm in the shower, and again before I go to bed.  And sometimes even more frequently then that! Especially in the summer when it's so hot and sticky out. It seems like a lot, but washing your face multiple times will get all of the dead skin off of your face, and will get rid of any gross bacteria that starts accumulating throughout the day!

Does washing your face upwards of 3 times a day seem like too much? Some may say yes, but in my opinion I think it's fine!

The first thing I do when I get up is go into the bathroom and wash my face. I like using the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash because it gives me a fresh burst of energy and cleans my skin, without being too harsh. It doesn't have any beads of color that make it a facial "scrub". I feel scrubs are too harsh to put on your face right when you get up. This one is gentle, and it leaves my face feeling smooth and clean, and also gets off any makeup I might not have been able to get off the night before. I would definitely recommend this product and I will be repurchasing in the future!

At night, it's a different story. This cleanser, also from Neutrogena, has a thicker consistency and is more like a scrub. You can feel it taking off the dead skin and any dirt or germs you may have. It leaves your face feeling a little raw, but it isn't harsh. It feel clean and cool. I like using this in the shower and I put this on before my shampoo, then once I rinse out my shampoo I wash off my face so it stays on there for a little before I wash it off. This really gives it a chance to sink into my skin. Another thing that I like about this product is that it's oil free. Almost all of my products are. I have very weird, combination skin so oil-free is a MUST! Plus I really trust Neutrogena and all of its formulas, it WORKS for my skin, and I can't get enough of it! I know some people have certain allergic reactions to different products, but Neutrogena has a lot of gentle products that do its job, without harming the skin.

This last step is CRUCIAL...makeup remover wipes. This is a beauty blog. All of us on here wear makeup every day and if we don't take it off, it will clog our pores which is one of the easiest ways to get acne. If I decide to take a shower the next morning and not at night like i normally do, this step is even more important. I love these Biore makeup remover wipes because they really get everything off of my face. It doesn't leave my skin feeling tight, or uncomfortable either. Normally after I take off my makeup with my makeup remover wipes, I would go back in with my Neutrogena wash i like to use in the mornings and use that again too. *Because sometimes just one makeup wipe isn't enough :)*

Skincare is SUCH an important step in ANY beauty guru's life. Beauty isn't all about looking beautiful, it's about FEELING beautiful too! And what better way to do that then to put your best face forward with gorgeous, glowing skin. Let me know what your favorite skin products are down in the comments below! I am always looking for new products to try out. :) You guys are the best, love you all!

Kristin :)

Perfect Red Lip

Hello Ladies!

I'm sure many of you have seen these types of blog posts before. It's one of the most common, classic makeup styles out there: Red Lips. They are worn by thousands of smiling beauty queens daily and it really is easier to pull off then you would think! And in this tutorial, I don't even use a lip liner! Now I know the quality of this picture isn't the greatest...but my camera broke, so I had to use my phone I apologize! I also apologize for my face...I kind of look like a pig with a very large snout...but that's ok. My nose isn't actually that large ;). The lighting isn't the best, but I made do with what I had.

So for this tutorial I used only 2 things. My Bloom lipstick in Song and Dance and my Dream Matte Powder from Maybelline. Now you may be wondering....why would she need a pressed powder for a lip tutorial...well, THAT'S the sparkly little secret! After you apply a layer of lipstick, use any small eyeshadow brush and apply a thin layer of powder before applying the next layer. It makes your lipstick stay on longer, and makes it harder to smear! In the picture above I have on 3 coats of lipstick, with 2 coats of powder in-between. It made my lipstick stay on for HOURS! It didn't leave my lips feeling sticky at all and it actually added a little bit of a matte effect to my very shiny lipstick, which I liked. Before applying the lipstick freehand though, I did use a lip brush to outline my lips and make sure I stayed in the lines. You can still create a clean, crisp lip without using a lipliner.

Enjoyed this look? Leave a picture down below on your take of this sparkly little secret, or any requests for upcoming blog posts! You guys are the best!

Kristin :)

Put a Ring On It!

Hi Ladies!,

Today's post is about one of my favorite pieces of jewelry of all time: rings! I can't recall the last time I haven't worn at least one ring on my hand every day. It's a simple and easy way to make a very cute yet classy fashion statement! Whether the ring you are bearing is a promise to love your significant other forever, or a bright pop of color to add to your outfit, these sparkly suckers are a must have in every girls collection! Now over the past 2 years I started to become obsessed with rings. Do any of you guys have that? You go through those little phases where you are obsessed with one thing so you buy that thing in every design, shape, size and color imaginable? Well that was the case with me and my rings. I LOVED them! Especially the daintier ones which I will show you later on. :)  Since I have very tiny, bony looking hands the daintier rings look a little prettier on my hands then a statement cocktail ring..but never fear....I have quite a few of those to show you as well! So, Let's get started!

The 3 rings on the left are my favorite statement cocktail rings. Ironically enough, they are all flower rings, but cocktail rings come in all different shapes and sizes. I love these because they're obnoxiously large and brightly colored which are perfect for a night on the town! If I wear a statement ring though, that is usually the only piece of jewelry I would wear. The ring itself is the statement piece and any other piece of jewelry added would overwhelm my outfit.

First as a little disclaimer...let's not talk about my nails in this picture. I got them done at a salon near my aunt's house and the nail lady put this design on my nail without my approval...I don't hate it I just think it's so bizarre that with a light pinky-coral color she put black and yellow designs all over it...but WHATEVER! :) So this ring on the right I actually found in my local antique shop! I love how it looks kind of old fashioned, and I like wearing it on my thumb the most. It fits my thumb perfectly which is weird because my thumb is VERY tiny. But I love this ring and I think I got it for like $8 which is such a steal, I couldn't say no!

This ring is not one that i typically wear a lot, but it has a lot of sentimental value so I thought I would share it with you. My grandma gave this ring to me a few years back and although it's hard to see in the picture, it's actually carved out from a shell. There are 2 hearts in the center that overlap each other and when she gave it to me she said that just like on this ring, our hearts will always remain close together. I always thought that was the cutest thing. So even though it doesn't match a lot of things, and is a little bit too big for me, I like to wear it around the house just as a reminder that she is always going to be there for me. Whenever I put it on it reminds me of the day she gave it to me and it always brings a smile to my face.

Again I apologize for the slight blurriness of this picture, but these next 2 rings are some of my favorites!  The one on the left is an Amethyst ring I got at the beach one year and the one on the right I wear literally every single day. It's a bean shaped heart in sterling silver that literally matches everything I own. Both of these rings are so dainty and don't take away from the rest of my outfit. I don't necessarily wear them together, but I have worn one on each hand in the same outfit together before. What's special about the heart ring is that Landon actually bought the same one with me when we were shopping at a fair in our town this past spring. She recently moved away and I know I speak for all of us when I say we miss her so much, but this ring is even more special to me knowing that every day she wears the same one too! :) It makes me feel like she's a little bit closer to home each time i wear it even though she's hundreds of miles away. I think this ring is going to be one of my favorites for a while. :)

So this is just a few of my favorite rings that I have accumulated over the past couple of years. There really are no style tricks on how to wear certain rings or rules about the number of rings you can wear at a time. It's whatever you feel is right. I hope you liked my little collection, and let me know in the comments below what your favorite ring was and why! Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Get Naked....2

Hi Ladies!

I am SO sorry it has taken me so long to put up another blog post. Like Audrey had said, we have all been busy with school work and such, but it is summer now, and I have a lot more spare time to blog it up for you all! ;) YAY! Happy summer everyone!

So today I wanted to give a review on one of my palettes I have been LOVING so far this year. (If you couldn't tell by the title YES I am talking about the one, the only, Naked 2 palette from Urban Decay). I bought this baby probably about 3 or 4 months ago and have used it almost every single day! It comes with 12 gorgeous colors that allow you to make countless looks with never ending color combinations. I am not one to wear a green smoke eye to school or a blue eyeshadow on my lid, I tend to lean more towards neutrals *and maybe purples on occasion* because I am not as daring as some other guru's out there. :) But a neutral eye is something I love because it's easy to layer, and it allows you to feel like you have makeup on, without over-doing it.

The colors in this palette like I mentioned above are simply GORGEOUS. From left to right the color names are: Foxy, Half Baked, Bootycall, Chopper, Tease, Snakebite, Suspect, Pistol, Verve, YDK, Busted and Blackout. All colors are highly pigmented, and are very easy to work with. Every shade accept Foxy, Tease and Blackout have a shimmer to them, which is nice but limits when and where you can wear those specific shadows. I am a glitter person so I don't have a problem wearing Half Baked on my lid and Tease in my crease. I personally enjoy a little sparkle...which is why I enjoy this palette so much because a lot of the colors have a special glimmer to them. But to balance it out, these few matte colors allow you to combine and mix different colors for various looks.

My favorite combination of colors is Bootycall on my lid, with suspect and tease in my crease. I blend it so it gives a little bit of an ombre affect into my outer corner and creates a natural smoke eye. If i want to accentuate it even more for evening, I blend a little bit of blackout into the crease to intensify it! But with 12 different beautiful colors, your combinations are endless! Each color seems to compliment each other and I love how smoothly they are applied to my eye. The shadows don't crumble, the formula is nice and you only need to use a tiny little bit to get the color payoff you are looking for!

The best part about this palette? It's only $50! Which may sound like a lot, BUT when you think about it, you are getting 12 different colors, which divided by 50 is $4.16 for each shadow...FOR A HIGH END URBAN DECAY SHADOW...THAT'S SUCH A STEAL PEOPLE. Like go get you some...RIGHT NOW.They're great colors, with great pigmentation, that look great on ALL SKIN TONES!

Overall I think this palette is a perfect go-to collection of colors that are great for either a subtle look for school, or a classy look for a fun night out!

Let me know in the comments below if you have this palette, and what your favorite color combinations are!
