❉ December Favorites! ❉

Hi everyone!  You all know the drill: at the end of every month one of us posts about all the things (random and beauty related) that we have been loving this month!  Let's get started.

For beauty favorites, I ended up going with the Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick (this is my third one!), which works great over the benefit Porefessional Primer.  Another favorite is Falling in Love perfume by philosophy (my signature scent), Coralista lipgloss by benefit, and Hoola bronzer by benefit, which is amazing for contouring.  To make my hair frizz free and shiny, the Moroccan Oil Intense Curl Cream was a must-have!  And lastly, the best chapstick ever invented: Apookalips by Pookie!  It is 100x better than any Nivea lip balm or EOS.  It smells heavenly and is so moisturizing - not to mention it is organic so it doesn't contain any toxic chemicals.  I have never come across a makeup product as amazing as this and I would recommend this to EVERYONE!  They are quite hard to find and I think they are only available online.  They are so inexpensive and you can order yourself one here.

Another amazing product that I tried for the first time this December was the Too Faced Shadow Bon Bons which was given to my by my brother!  These shadows are crazy pigmented and have already used every single color.  They are so beautiful and wearable!  It also comes with a Shadow Insurance primer and mascara.  Love this!!!

I have also been wearing my hair up in a bun/top knot more often.  I used to use the sock bun method.  At Urban Outfitters, they sell things that work the same as a sock would in a sock bun but without showing through or making little bumps!  So easy to use and they were only $6.  If you are a fan of the sock bun look, I suggest heading over to Urban to pick up some of these instead - they come in a range of sizes!

My favorite thing to wear this month has to be my onesie!  I got this at Target and it is so cozy.  It's great to sleep in or just curl up on the couch in while you watch Pitch Perfect - another favorite!  I watched this movie four times IN ONE WEEK!  The storyline is so cute and the music is amazing.  If you haven't seen it yet you better rent it ASAP!

Well, that's all for December Favorites!  Hopefully you all had a relaxing and safe holiday and New Years.  Comment below with you're New Years resolution if you have one or if you are interested in anything mentioned in this post!  Have a great day everyone :)

Get Beautiful, Shiny Hair!

Hi girlies!  Today's post is going to be super quick yet very informative.  Sometimes in the winter months, hair can become dull and lose it's shine.  A quick and simple way to restore the shine is before getting out of the shower while the conditioner is still in your hair, turn the faucet to cold and then rinse out the conditioner in the cold.  Although it may be uncomfortable (cold showers in the winter?!), it's worth it, I swear!  By blasting your hair with cold water while the conditioner is still in, it seals your hair follicles and locks in the moisture from the conditioner.  Once your hair dries, you will notice a difference in shine as well as texture; your hair will be much silkier.

That's all for today!  I hope all of your holidays were relaxing, healthy, and fun.  Also, New Years is coming up!  Comment down below if you've already made your resolutions!

November Favorites!

Hey girlies! I cannot believe that November is almost over! Honestly, to me it seems like August was just last week. Today it's sunny out and freezing, so I figured it would be the perfect day to post my November Favorites... let's get started!
Beauty Favorites

To start of my favorites, I would have to start off with my Maybelline Dream Touch Lumi Concealer. I realize i was late on the bandwagon with this product, but long story short, I ran out of my Laura Mercier concealer, Sephora is at the far mall (and I did not want to buy the concealer with out getting bonus points), and I was at Target! I heard many great reviews on this concealer so I figured I would try it out. Does it give amazing coverage? No, but I think it does great for only being $7.

Secondly, I have been absolutely in love with my 'Covergirl Eye Enhancers' Eyeshadow in Tapestry Taupe. I think it is a stunning color, and it would look great against any skin tone/eye color. I got this shadow a while back (which explains the outdated packaging) but for only being a few dollars at the drugstore it is totally worth it! It is a soft, shimmery tan with darker hints of taupe as opposed to a dark shadow with light hints. It is super wearable and pigmented! This is a product I definitely recommend.

The last makeup product I have been loving is my L'Oreal HIP Jelly Balm. As some of you know, these have been discontinued but you can find them occasionally at Target, and you can purchase them online! I purchased mine a while ago, but I have honestly fell in love with this lipgloss! I have mine in 'Succulent-520' which is a gorgeous rosey/berry color. They smell like vanilla and go on sheer so you can build up the pigmentation. If you are able to pick up one, definitely grab it! They are so worth it!

Scarves have been my life savers on days when I am running late and need a cute outfit! They are so universal and you can wear them with literally anything. They completely transform your plain t-shirt and pair of jeans into a fashionable outfit! Now that the weather is colder, I am able to wear my faux Burberry one that I am in love with. I really like how this one is white with tan, black, and red lines because it is different from what you usually see! I purchased this one in NYC. :)

Non-Beauty Favorites

Ok, I may have a tiny obsession with The Hills. I am being completely honest when I tell you that currently the only show on my DVR is The Hills. I absolutely love LC and everyone else on the show! I got Audrey and another friend hooked on it and we have been re-watching the series starting from season one!

One of my favorite songs of the month of course tie in with The Hills ;). "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield is an amazing song and I think it is super catchy... let's face it Audrey and I may have a jam sesh here and there rocking out to this song! But honestly, who doesn't love this song?! It is absolutely amazing and the fact that it was the theme song for The Hills makes it 10000000x better! The second song that I have been absolutely in love with would have to be the deconstructed version of "Die Young" by Ke$ha. Audrey showed me this song a few weeks ago and I fell in love! You can really hear her actual voice and none of the fake auto-tune. Lastly, the "RED" album by Taylor Swift has been my favorite for all of November. I honestly cannot pick out one song that I dislike! Some of my favorites have been "22", "Starlight", and "Everything has Changed"! I also love Ed Sheeran, so that song was definitely a win-win for me!

Candles. I just love candles. My favorite winter candles are from Bath & Body Works in the scents 'Vanilla Snowflake' and 'Twisted Peppermint'. I am actually obsessed with both of these scents and one of them are always burning in my room at all times!

The next favorite I have is gum. I know random, right?? Well every time I am in target I always pick up a pack of the Shaun White Mintacular gum.... it is easily my favorite gum and I always have a pack with me at all times :)

The last non-beauty favorite I have it my winter mug! Every year at Target I try to get myself a new wintery/Christmasy mug to drink my tea, coffee, and hot chocolate! This one might be one of my favorite mugs ever! I love how its a wider cup and shorter... it's just something different! Also the horizontal stripes are perfection. You guys know I love anything with stripes!

Well that concludes my November favorites! I am seriously so sorry for slacking, but with all of the homework and tests my teachers are trying to get us to finish before the break is insane! I pinky promise I will be so much better with posting! Thanks for staying with us lovies <3 Don't forget, stay classy! xoxo

My deepest condolences to everyone affected by the Newtown tragedy.  No family should ever have to go through something as terrible as this.  The innocent children and adults who lost their lives today are in all of America’s hearts.  To all those affected by this unspeakable tragedy on this solemn day, our thoughts and prayers go out to you.

To spend or not to spend; that is the question.

Hi girls!  Remember me?  So sorry for not posting for so long.  I have been extremely stressed out lately with school, dance, and babysitting and I haven't had any free time.  Thank you for understanding and I appreciate every single one of you for sticking with us!  Now, on to this post...

Many products in the beauty community gain so much hype that it's impossible not to want to go out and try them for yourself, no matter what the price tag!  However, some of these products, while amazing, have almost identical drugstore dupes that can save you so much money.

The first product that gets extremely hyped up is the Urban Decay Primer Potion.  While this is one of my makeup staples, if you're eyelids aren't CRAZY oily like mine, you shouldn't need to shell out $20 for something you can get for $1!  If you have normal eyelids that aren't as oily as mine, I suggest you skip the UDPP and head over to Target to get yourself the $1 Elf Eyelid Primer.  Even with my eyelids, this doesn't crease on me for a few hours, but if you have normal eyelids, this should last you the whole day.

The next product is the MAC Paint Pots.  All of the beauty gurus online have been raving about them and decided I had to have one myself!  Well, I wish I hadn't given in so quickly.  Maybelline released a line of Color Tattoos a while back which are honestly 10x better than MAC Paint Pots.  It's much more creamy and actually lasts without a primer, unlike my Paint Pot.  And for almost $10 less, why wouldn't you go with the drugstore version?

The next product you can skip is the Balm's Sexy Mama Face Powder.  Don't get me wrong, this is one of my favorite face powders and I finished up my entire product!  However, I decided to try out Rimmel Stay Matte's powder when I ran out of the Balm's Sexy Mama to save myself $19.  It was shocking to see how amazing the Rimmel powder is.  It was just as oil-absorbing as my Balm powder.  The only negative with this is that the packaging is quite cheap, but for price and quality, it's packaging can easily be overlooked.

The last dupe is benefit's They're Real! Mascara.  This mascara is fantastic and I find myself reaching for it very often, I have no regrets buying it.  However, is it really worth $23?  Instead, you can save around $15 by buying Maybelline's Falsies mascara.  It does an even better job of holding a curl and lengthening and separating my lashes than benefit.  Falsies is one of my favorite mascaras and I recommend it over benefit's They're Real.

Well, that's it for my money-saving post.  I hope you try out some of these products and save a few dollars!  Have a great day!

xoxo Francesca

October Favorites

Well hello there ladies!
It's scary to read October favorites as a title when October seems like it happened ages ago. It's embarrassing that I am posting this late, but with school work and 2 shows that I'm in the middle of, I've barely even had time to sleep! But since we have a few days off for the holiday I figured it would be better to post this really late rather than not at all. So on with the October favorites!

This month was a very special month for me because it was my birthday! I had a party with some of my closest friends and family and it was by far the most amazing day of my entire life. And all of your favorite sparkly little secret members were right there along side me too! I seriously have some of the most amazing friends, they made me feel so beautiful and happy on that night and having them there really made me realize how awesome of a life I have. And the gifts these people got me were absolutely INSANE. They were way too generous and amazing, especially ones from the SLS crew. You guys spoiled me that's for sure! A lot of the gifts I received I have been using non stop this month so they will definitely be included in my favorites post.

I went a little makeup crazy during the past month you guys. I got a lot of makeup as gifts, but also had a little too much fun online at Sephora and spent a way too much money. But all of these things have been on my list for a while now I promise it wasn't one giant 'in the moment' splurge.

One thing I have really been loving lately is lipstick. I can't seem to get enough. My new favorites for this month have been Nars Beautiful Liar, YSL Volupté sheer candy in number 4, Mac's Lustre lipstick in Viva Glam 5 and my favorite of them all, Kate Spade's Supercalifragilipsitck in the color Pop Art Pink, which was a gift from Audrey.(pictured above, swatched on the right in the same order). All of these colors are very unique, and very wearable. The YSL and the Kate Spade lipsticks are more vibrant and are great if you want to add a pop of color to your look. The other two are great for everyday wear, and I can't wait to get more use out of them all as the year progresses!

My next 2 favorites are something that I have been using constantly for the past 3 months. That is the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer and the secret concealer. I swear to you the secret concealer is my new holy grail concealer. It completely covers my dark circles under my eyes and any correction spots I need to hide on my face. And the tinted moisturizer has just the right amount of color and weight to it. It gives the color payoff of a foundation while still being light and easily applicable. I wear this everyday and I already need to get a new concealer! I go through it so quickly. I recommend these 2 face products to EVERYONE because it really makes my face look more flawless then it actually is...and who doesn't want to look flawless? ;)

For eyes I have been loving the Nars soft touch shadow pencil in Goddess and the Mac fabulousness holiday palette. The Nars pencil was part of my gift that Francesca gave me for my birthday! She knows me so well <3 I love using the shadow pencil as a base for the colors in the mac palette.

First of exciting is it that for Mac's holiday collection they created numerous beautiful palettes? I started freaking out. The colors in this specific palette are absolutely BEAUTIFUL and they make my eyes look really blue! From left to right the colors are called blonde mink, magical mist, burn, enviable, and smut. Blonde Mink, Magical Mist, and Enviable are all shimmery and I am absolutely in love with this palette. Its a limited edition holiday palette so grab it while you still can!

My favorite scent this month has been the Prada Candy perfume. It literally smells like heaven and I have already used so much of it. I may be asking for another one for Christmas. It's my go to scent for any season (I have been looking at the perfume for a while) and I feel like it isn't too heavy to wear in the summer or too light for the winter. It's a little on the pricey side, but well worth the cost because both the scent and the bottle are beautiful!

These BCBG bracelets have been all the rage in my town and I can't seem to get enough of them! They're so fun to layer and the inspirational words on them just make me smile <3 They range anywhere from $12-$18 so they're fun and affordable and a great way to add a little color to your outfit.

Another favorite I have been having this month are these gorgeous Steve madden flats. I know they aren't everybody's cup of tea, but I think they're a fun, BRIGHT (to say the least) pop of color to add to any outfit. Wow I have been saying that so much in this post....I really like adding pops of color to outfits because in the fall not many people are wearing bright neon shirts or dresses its more natural colors with subtle hints of color here and there. That's why I love fall, because it allows you to experiment with different pops of color. These shoes will honestly match anything you decide to wear has every color in the rainbow in it!

Non-beauty favorites:

Tangled has been my favorite movie since it came out and I constantly watch it whenever I'm sick or feeling down. I know it's silly that I love a little kids movie, but any Disney movie is automatically a classic....and I love Rapunzel because her songs are just amazing. This movie makes me cry every time I watch it!

Another thing that I had constantly been reaching for in October was the Special K chocolate pretzel bars. They taste AMAZING and the little pretzel bites made it taste like you were actually eating chocolate covered pretzels (which are my personally favorite). And for 90 calories a bar, you can afford eating more then one a day ;) I know that's what I did!

I hope you all enjoyed my october favorites and again I apologize for me not posting in such a long time. My fall play at my school is happening next week and after that I'll be doing CAMP ROCK the musical in a nearby town theater. Once those shows end I will have MUCH more time to post more secrets for you all. In fact, stay tuned later this week for some great holiday gifts to give your friends or stocking stuffers for your family! Thanks for reading and I will talk to you all soon!
