Rainy Day Makeup

Hi everyone!  Today is a rainy day where I live.  This is my favorite type of weather so I created a look inspired by the rain!  This look is a twist on a neutral eye.  For this eye look, all the eye shadow colors are from the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palate.  You can easily find dupes for these colors if you don't have this palate!  If you go here you can see close up pictures and swatches of all the colors used.  Let's get started!

The first step to this look is to apply a good primer.  I used the Urban Decay Primer Potion which is my favorite primer!  This will make sure your eye shadow stays on all day long without creasing or fading.

Next, apply Bootycall over your entire eyelid.  It's just a shimmery champagne color.  Then apply Tease, which is a matte brown color, to your crease.

After you've done that, take the color Pistol, which is a shimmery gray, and put it in the outer corner of your eye for more definition.

To make your eyes sparkle, take Verve which is a very light, shimmery color and pop that on your inner corner.

Next, line your eyes with any black pencil eyeliner.  Make sure that your line is extremely thin.  We're just applying this liner to make sure the eyes don't look washed out.  Try not to make a very thick line.

For the final step, curl your lashes and apply mascara.  But here's where the twist comes in, instead of using black mascara, we're using blue.  Taking the Diorshow Waterproof Mascara in the shade Azure Blue 258, apply to your eyelashes.

Ta-da!  You're rainy day look is complete!  If you try out this look, post a picture in the comments below!  Also let me know if you'd like to see more 'inspired' tutorials like this one.  I hope you try recreating this look.  Have a fabulous day!

xoxo Francesca :)
